पाठ्यक्रम (सिद्धांत)
भाग-ए
1. हिंदुस्तानी संगीत के आधुनिक काल का इतिहास।
2. निम्नलिखित वाद्ययंत्रों का विस्तृत ज्ञान:- सितार, तबला।
3. रागों का काल सिद्धांत।
4. निम्नलिखित संगीत शब्दों की परिभाषा:-
वर्ण, कण, मींड, मिजराब, झल्ला, चिकारी, गमक, सूत, क्रिंटन, जमजमा, शुद्ध, छायालग, संकीरन राग।
5. वादक के गुण या दोष.
6. थाट की परिभाषा एवं सिद्धांत. पंडित भातखंडे के दस थाट. राग और थाट नियमों के बीच तुलना.
7. (ए) संगीत में ताल का महत्व
(बी) संगीत और अन्य ललित कलाएँ
8. निम्नलिखित गीतकारों का संगीत के प्रति योगदान:-
(ए) उस्ताद अलाउद्दीन खान
(बी) श्री. निखिल बनर्जी
(सी) पंडित हरविंदर कुमार शर्मा
(डी) उस्ताद विलायत खान
9. भारतीय संगीत में वादन शैलियों का विकास।
10.भारतीय संगीत में एकल प्रदर्शन में प्रयुक्त वाद्ययंत्र।
सितार, सरूद, सारंगी, दिलरुबा, शहनाई, बांसुरी, जट तरंग, हारमोनियम, तबला, ढोल।
भाग-बी
1. 10 अलंकार.
2.भैरव, मालकौंस, भीमपलासी में रजाखानी गतों का अंकन लिखना और खमाज राग.
3. निर्धारित रागों में एक धीमी गत।
4. निर्धारित रागों में एक ताल या झप ताल में एक रचना।
5. किसी भी राग में एक धुन.
6. रूपक ताल, एक ताल, तिलवाड़ा ताल, धमार ताल, सुलताल और झप का वर्णन
एकगुन और डुगन लेयकरियों के साथ ताल।
7. आपके उपकरण की संरचना का ज्ञान.
प्रश्न पत्र की संरचना (क्रियात्मक )
प्रायोगिक परीक्षा के एक बैच में 9 से अधिक विद्यार्थी नहीं होने चाहिए। संगीत (स्वर) में संगत के रूप में हारमोनियम की अनुमति है। परीक्षक सेट करेगा मौके पर ही प्रश्न पत्र. प्रैक्टिकल में प्रश्न पत्र सेट करते समय परीक्षक को सैद्धांतिक रूप से पाठ्यक्रम पर विचार करना होगा और निम्नलिखित निर्देशों का पालन करना होगा।
1. निर्धारित पाठ्यक्रम में से किसी एक राग का प्रदर्शन/प्रस्तुति। विद्यार्थी रागों का चयन कर सकते हैं। यह 4 मिनट के लिए होगा.
2. निर्धारित पाठ्यक्रम से एक राग का प्रदर्शन/प्रस्तुति। चयन परीक्षक का होगा. यह 4 मिनट के लिए होगा.
3. इकगुन और डुगुन लयाकरियों में निर्धारित तालों का हाथ से प्रदर्शन/प्रदर्शन। यह 4 मिनट के लिए होगा.
4. निर्धारित पाठ्यक्रम में से एक ताल एवं एक राग की पहचान। यह 4 मिनट के लिए होगा.
5. तराना/टप्पा/लोकगीत/देशभक्ति गीत के संबंध में प्रदर्शन/प्रदर्शन। यह भी 4 मिनट के लिए होगा.

PART-A
1. History of Modren Period of Hindustani Music.
2. Detailed knowledge of the following instruments:-Sitar,Tabla.
3. Time Theory of Ragas.
4. Definition of the following music terms:-
Varna, Kan, Meend, Mizrab, Jhalla, Chikari, Gamak, Soot, Krintan, Zamjama, Shudh, Chayalag, Sankeeran Raags.
5. Vadak ke Gun or Dosh.
6. Definition and Principles of Thaats. Ten Thaats of Pandit Bhatkhande. Comparision between raags and thaats rules.
7. (a) Importance of taal in music
(b) Music and other Fine-Arts
8. Contribution towards music by the following schotars:-
(a) Ustad Allaudin Khan
(b) Sh. Nikhil Banerjee
(c) Pandit Harwinder Kumar Sharma
(d) Ustad Vilayat Khan
9. Development of vadan styles in Indian Music.
10.Instruments used in solo performance in Indian Music.
Sitar, Sarood, Sarangi, Dilruba, Shehnai, Flute, Jat tarang, Harmonium,Tabla,Dhol.
PART-B
1. 10 Alankaars.
2. To write the notation of Razakhani Gats in Bhairav, Malkauns, Bhimplasi
and Khamaj Raags.
3. One slow Gat in prescribed Raags.
4. One composition in Ek Taal or Jhap Taal in prescribed Raags.
5. One Dhun in any Raag.
6. Description of Rupak Tal, Ek Taal, Tilwada Taal, Dhamaar Taal, Sultal and Jhap
Taal with Ekgun and Dugan layakaries.
7. Knowledge of the structure of your Instrument.
Structure Of Question Paper (Practical)
There should not be more than 9 students in a batch of practical examination. Harmonium is allowed as accompaniment in music (Vocal). The examiner will set the
question paper on the spot. While setting the question paper in practical, the examiner must consider the syllabus in theory and will follow the following instructions.
1. Demonstration/performance of any one Raag out of the prescribed syllabus. The students can exercise the choice of Raags. It will be for 4 minutes .
2. Demonstration/performance of one Raag from prescribed syllabus. The choice will be of examiner. It will be for 4 minutes .
3. Demonstration/performance of prescribed Taals in Ikgun and Dugun Layakaries by hand. It will be for 4 minutes .
4. Recognition of one Taal and one Raag out of the prescribed syllabus. It will be for 4 minutes.
5. Demonstration/performance regarding Tarana/Tappa/ Lok geet/Patriotic song. It will also be for 4 minutes .
