नृत्य पाठ्यक्रम
भाग- ए
I. नृत्य की परिभाषा, मानव जीवन में इसका महत्व।
II. कथक नृत्य में प्रयुक्त बुनियादी तकनीकी शब्दों जैसे ठेका, लय, ताल, तत्कार, थाट, आमद, सलामी, तिहाई का ज्ञान।
III. नाट्य और नृत्य का आलोचनात्मक अध्ययन।
IV. लोक एवं शास्त्रीय नृत्य का तुलनात्मक अध्ययन।
V. निम्नलिखित का ज्ञान:
अस्नयुक्त हस्त मुद्राएँ, नृत्य में उनका कार्य-पताका, त्रिपताका, अर्धपताका, मयूर, अर्धचंद्र, आरा शुकतुंड, मुष्टि, शिखर, कपित्थ रल्लामुख, सुचि, चंदर कला, पद्म कोष, सर्पश्रीश।
VI. रागों का संक्षिप्त विवरण और नृत्य में उनका महत्व।
सातवीं. कथक-नृत्य का संक्षिप्त इतिहास.
आठवीं. कथक नृत्य का सर्वेक्षण एवं आवश्यक विशेषताएँ।
भाग-बी
I. निर्धारित तालों की परिभाषा एवं विवरण।
II. कुछ बोलों के माध्यम से ताल की पहचान।
III. व्यावहारिक पाठ्यक्रम में निर्धारित सभी सामग्री का अंकन।
IV. एकल, डुगुन और चौगुन लयकारी में निर्धारित तालों का अंकन।

प्रश्न पत्र की संरचना
प्रायोगिक परीक्षा के एक बैच में 9 (नौ) से अधिक विद्यार्थी नहीं होने चाहिए। प्रश्न पत्र परीक्षक द्वारा मौके पर ही सेट किया जाएगा। प्रश्न पत्र सेट करते समय
व्यावहारिक, परीक्षक को सिद्धांत में पाठ्यक्रम पर विचार करना होगा और निम्नलिखित निर्देशों का पालन करना होगा।
1. छात्र की पसंद के अनुसार निर्धारित पाठ्यक्रम से किसी भी ताल में एक व्यवस्थित नृत्य प्रदर्शन। यह 6 मिनट के लिए होगा.
2. परीक्षक की पसंद के अनुसार निर्धारित पाठ्यक्रम से किसी भी ताल में एक व्यवस्थित नृत्य प्रदर्शन। यह 4 मिनट के लिए होगा.
3. एकगुन और दुगुन लयाकरियों में किसी भी ताल का प्रदर्शन/प्रदर्शन। यह 4 मिनट के लिए होगा.
1. विद्यार्थी को निर्धारित तालों के कुछ बोल दिए जाएंगे, उन्हें इनमें से दो को पहचानना होगा। यह 2 मिनट के लिए होगा.
2. तत्कार के किन्हीं दो गत निकास और पलटा का प्रदर्शन/प्रदर्शन। यह 4 मिनट के लिए होगा.

I. नीचे दी गई सामग्री पर निम्नलिखित तालों का व्यवस्थित नृत्य प्रदर्शन:-
ए) तीन ताल : (16 मात्रा)

बी) ताल रूपक (7 मात्रा)

II. एकल में एडवांस तत्कार, तीन ताल, रूपक ताल में डुगुन और चौगुन लयकारी।
III. तीन ताल में दो गत निकास।
IV. दादरा एवं केहरवा ताल का वर्णन.
कुछ बोल के माध्यम से निर्धारित तालों की पहचान।

CLASS – XI

DANCE SYLLABUS
Part-A
I. Definition of dance, its importance in human life.
II. Knowledge of basic technical terms used in Kathak dance such as Theka, Laya, Taal, Tatkar, That, Amad, Salami, Tihai.
III. Critical study of Natya and Naritya.
IV. Comparative study of the folk and classical dance.
V. Knowledge of the following:
Asnyukta hast Mudras, their function in dance-Pataka, Tripataka, Ardhapataka, Mayur, Ardhachandra, Ara Shuktund, Mushti, Shikhar, Kapittha Rallamukh, Suchi, Chander kala, Padma Kosh, Sarpshrish.
VI. Short account of Raags and their importance in dance.
VII. Short history of Kathak-dance.
VIII. Survey and essential characteristics of Kathak dance.
PART-B
I. Definition and description of prescribed Taals.
II. Recognition of Taals through some Bols.
III. Notation of all material prescribed in practical course.
IV. Notation of prescribed Taals in single, Dugun and Chaugun Laykaries.
PAPER-B
PRACTICAL (DANCE)
Structure Of Question Paper
There should not be more than 9 (nine) students in a batch of practical examination. The question paper will set by the examiner on the spot. While setting the question paper in
practical, the examiner must consider the syllabus in theory and will follow the following instructions.
1. A systematic dance performance in any Taal from the prescribed syllabus as per choice of the student. It will be for 6 minutes.
2. A systematic dance performance in any Taal from the prescribed syllabus as per choice of the examiner. It will be for 4 minutes.
3. Demonstration/performance of any Taal in Ekgun and Dugun layakaries. It will be for 4 minutes.
1. Student will be given some bols of the prescribed Taals He/She will have to recognize two out of these. It will be for 2 minutes.
2. Demonstration /performance of any two Gat nikas and palta of Tatkar. It will be for 4 minutes.
